I was rewarding myself for a busy week and decided to make HOMEMADE ..."Chocolate Mousse topped with Wild berries"...
Chocolate is for me a mood booster and it just makes me happy when I have a full spoon of Chocolate Mousse in my mouth melted...
Here is a picture of my homemade mousse;
Here the recipe from Food Network...it actually works as you can see on my pictures:
3 oz dark chocolate, chopped
6 tbl unsalted butter, cut in pieces
Step 1:
Combine chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl set over a saucepan of barely simmering water. stir until just melted, about 5 - 6 minutes; remove from the heat and whisk until smooth and shiny.
2 egg yolks, 6 tbl sugar, 2 tbl cognac or brandy, 1 tsp powder vanilla or us extract
Step 2:
Combine all the above ingredients together in a bowl and place it over the pan of simmering water and whisk until warm and double in size about 7 minutes. Then carefully rest the bowl in the prepared bowl with ice cubes until chill down.
The beat the egg white in a separate bowl until stiff. Set it aside.
Step 3:
Pour slowly the chocolate mix into the egg yolk mix and stir once this is down. Take your egg white and stir it in the chocolate mixture.Then pour the mixture in ramekins cover and refrigerate until set about 4 hours.
Voila ... Delicious to the TASTE!...
