Who does not love baquettes? I remember being in Paris my first place, in the morning, was going to the boulangerie and buy fresh smelling baquettes and croissants...But, today I want to show you how you can make your own baquette in your home kitchen. You do not need any fancy kitchen tools other than your own.
Only what you need is patience and time....Here is a photo of my baquettes which I made this morning. My husband felt in love with them and did not want to stop eating...

Here it goes!
These are the ingredients you need:
2 tsp yeast
2 cups of warm water
1- 2 tsp salt
1 bowl
4 -5 cups of all-purpose flour
and time to rise..
Preheat oven 500 F (260 C)
Part 1:
Dissolve yeast in warm water for about 10 mins.
Part 2:
Add one cup at a time into the dissolved yeast and stir it with a wooden spoon until you have about 4 - 5 cups of flour in you bowl mixed. Form your dough into a ball and cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a damp kitchen towel. Let it sit until about 1 hour or until it have risen.
Part 3:
Form 3 baquette loaf weight about 7 oz or 230 g and let it rise again...about 30 to 40 mins
Part 4:
After the risen time fold and form your dough into a baquette form
When the risen time is over (1 hours) dust them with flour and cut them with a sharp knife or razor to give them the authentic rustic look...like this...
BREAKFAST starts with a smell of oven fresh baquettes....
Delicious to the TASTE!
